OpenFlipper - An Open Source Geometry Processing and Rendering Framework

OpenFlipper is an OpenSource multi-platform application and programming framework designed for processing, modeling and rendering of geometric data.  Currently supported platforms are Windows, MacOS X and Linux. Using OpenMesh a variety of file formats are supported ( off, obj, ply, ... ).


Additionally OpenFlipper provides a highly flexible interface for creating and testing own geometry processing algorithms. A powerfull scripting language can be used to access all parts of OpenFlipper and modify geometry or the user interface at runtime.

Monday 26. of October 2009 OpenFlipper RC5

OpenFlipper RC5 has been released. This release includes support for Philips 3D Solutions stereo displays, some updates to the UI and of course the latest version of OpenMesh. A detailed changelog can be found here.


Tuesday 29. of September 2009 OpenFlipper RC4

OpenFlipper RC4 has been released. This release includes a new isotropic remesher plugin and some bug fixes.


Friday 10. of July 2009 OpenFlipper RC3

OpenFlipper RC3 is now available. This new release has a new build system based on cmake. Additionally we updated the setup files for Windows and MacOSX and fixed some bugs. OpenMesh 2.0-RC3 is also included in this update.


Friday 27. of March 2009 OpenFlipper RC1

Today the first release candidate for OpenFlipper has been published.


Tuesday 17. of March 2009 Upcoming Release
